First rumble was kept from us pesky gamers with the incredible believable excuse that COD was switching through the different game modes.

Which is why rumble almost never appeared in the mode list so far…

Now it seems that armor plates are about to be introduced.

One thing that made Rumble so fun (and the only mode that is actually fun to play), is that it is fast. You get hit, you die, you come back quickly and give it another try. Just as in all other modes (which are booooooring as f…) we will now have this prolonged phase of being down which in 90% of all cases opens you up to some sort of humiliation as your teammates usually don´t get to you in time.

Especially in the chaos of Rumble (which used to be fun) I don´t see how you will get anywhere near a fallen teammate in time.

It will also open up a new line of cheating, just as it did with the other modes - people running through a continuous MG burst toward you, taking aim and killing you with a short burst out of their SMG. It will render certain classes of weapons useless like for example most handguns or exlosives like mines and claymores.

It would be much more honest to cancel Rumble altogether that to ruin it that way or to lie about it as it is done atm. I started with computer games a long time ago and I have never seen any game company, let alone a so-called AAA company, cycle through their game modes. It makes no sense, but then, COD always was the lesser product in FPS.
