Why do mods keep silencing accounts for 1000 of years just for being false flagged, or even for an innocent joke made in a thread?
When reviewing a flagged post, we do investigate for intentionally false flagging attempts. If we find that to be the case, it can lead to actions on the falsely flagging account. Though we will still review the reported post to see if the rules were broken.
Making posts with intentionally misleading titles meant to trick others is considered trolling. And if an account repeatedly breaks the Code of Conduct, it leads to longer actions until a permanent suspension.
We hope this helps clarify any concern that might be going around about false flagging/reporting abuse. Discussion of account actions violate our Code of Conduct and as this thread has focused on the actions of a specific user we feel it is best to close it.
