Here you'll find a list of hotfixes that address various issues related to World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, Burning Crusade Classic and WoW Classic. Some of the hotfixes below take effect the moment they were implemented, while others may require scheduled realm restarts to go into effect. Please keep in mind that some issues cannot be addressed without a client-side patch update. This list will be updated as additional hotfixes are applied.

Hotfixes

June 7, 2022

Achievements

• Fixed an issue where the general Rival, Challenger, and Duelist arena achievements would not be granted after receiving the Season 3 rating achievements.

Cross-Faction Instances

• Cross-Faction groups can now queue up for Rated PvP activities once again, as intended.

Items and Rewards

• Antumbra, Shadow of the Cosmos will now properly grant its movement speed bonus.

Quests

• Fixed an issue where looting Journal Pages would sometimes not earn quest credit for “Treasure Contract: Gutrek’s Cleaver.”

Torghast, Tower of the Damned

• To help with completing Torghast achievements, jailbreaks will now happen much more often on Floor 4 of standard wings, and will happen on Floor 4 and every third floor thereafter in Twisting Corridors.

Cross-Faction Instances

• Fixed an issue that caused Group Finder listings to not update to Cross-Faction when selected.
• Cross-Faction party member's guilds now display the correct faction upon inspection.

Dungeons and Raids

• Sepulcher of the First Ones
  • Artificer Xy'mox
    • Fixed an issue where Crippling Ephemera could be removed prematurely, blocking achievement success.
  • Prototype Pantheon
    • Fixed an issue where players could be afflicted by Runecarver's Deathtouch but have no Bastion's Ward to reduce the damage.
  • Rygelon
    • [With realm restarts] Rygelon's health reduced by 5% on Mythic difficulty.
    • [With realm restarts] Rygelon's auto-attack damage has been reduced by 15% on all difficulties.
      • Developers’ note: Due to the bug fixes in 9.2.5, we're receiving feedback that Rygelon in Mythic raids is more difficult than intended on subsequent kills, and so we are reducing Rygelon's health to compensate. Additionally, we're reducing Rygelon's melee damage across the board as he inflicts significant tank damage, but we would like to avoid altering current strategies around Corrupted Strikes.

Items and Rewards

• Fixed an issue where passengers were able to gather unintentionally while riding on a multi-passenger mount.
• Fixed an issue where Cache of Acquired Treasures trinket would fail to activate when landing on the “Acquired Sword” buff and then be unusable for the rest of combat.
• Fixed an issue where Codex of the First Technique’s maximum absorb was not increasing with the trinket’s item level.
• Fixed an issue where Codex of the First Technique was unintentionally reflecting damage from allies or dead enemies.
• Fixed an issue where the Antecedent Drape was unable to be converted at the Creation Catalyst.
• The Earpieces of the Tranquil Focus toy effect now persists through death.
• Fixed an issue that made the Resonating Disc drop continuously if the player's quest log is full.
• Fixed an issue where Choral Vestments sold by Rafiq in Zereth Mortis was refundable.
• Fixed several display issues with the Dark Ranger’s Cowl.

Player versus Player

• Mage
  • Ice Wall (PvP Talent) will no longer occasionally rotate when a nearby player is stealthed.

Quests

• The Gloomtail's Head basket can now be properly interacted with during "The Head of Her Enemy" quest in Zuldazar.
• Fixed an issue where torches in “Vol'jin, Son of Sen'jin” could not be interacted with.

Burning Crusade Classic

• Fixed an issue where Seal of the Martyr and Seal of Blood were not properly discounted by Libram of Hope.

Dungeons and Raids

• World Bosses
  • Resolved an issue which could cause players to be unable to complete a Shadowlands World Boss World Quest.
  • Resolved an issue which could cause players to gain the Fated Raid aura while fighting Shadowlands World Bosses outside of Season 4, resulting in a more difficult than intended experience.

Achievements

• The achievement "Pursuing Loyalty" now indicates which Loyalty-difficulty Path of Ascension encounters have and have not been completed.
• The achievement "Things To Do When You're Dead" can once again be completed.

Items and Rewards

• Au'Dara the Heirloom broker located in Oribos next to the Flight Master now sells the following bind-on-account items:
  • Encrypted Equipment Chest: Contains one piece of item level 236 Mythic 0 gear. The chest can only be purchased with Valor by a character with a 1500 or higher Mythic+ Rating.
  • Cosmic Equipment Chest: Contains one piece of item level 249 unranked PvP gear. The chest can only be purchased with Conquest by a character with a 1400 or higher rating in any PvP bracket.

  • Resolved an issue that caused Mage Portals to Oribos to not appear while phased.

    • Malefic Wrath (Runecarving Power) will once again be able to stack up to 3 times.

Dungeons and Raids

• Sepulcher of the First Ones
  • Resolved an issue that was caused Mythic difficulty to not appear as an available option in the Premade Group Finder.

• Tazavesh: So'leah's Gambit
  • So’leah
    • Resolved an issue that would cause So'leah to path erratically after Power Overwhelming.

Developer's note: It turns out that prior to 9.2.5 some creatures and abilities were not scaling with Mythic+ Keystone level as intended. A bug fix with the patch corrected the scaling, but also unintentionally increased the health and damage of those creatures. The adjustments below for Halls of Atonement, Theater of Pain, and Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder are intended to offset this increase in difficulty and bring affected creatures back in line with player expectations.

    • Pulse from Beyond damage reduced by 66%.
• Theater of Pain
  • Mordretha
    • Deathwalker Health reduced by 60%.
    • Death Bolt damage reduced by 40%.
    • Death Bolt cast time increased to 3 seconds (was 2 seconds).
    • Fixed an issue where Deathwalkers were treated as players for the purpose of crowd control duration.
• Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder
  • Zo’phex
    • Health reduced by 5%.
    • Security Measure damage reduced by 66%.
    • Armed Security damage reduced by 60%.

Items and Rewards

• Players who unlocked Dark Iron Dwarf Heritage Armor on one character can now unlock the Dark Iron Dwarf Heritage Weapons and mount on a different character.
